Lifetime Warranty

With this warranty your scissors are 100% guaranteed for lifetime to be free from any manufacturing defects including craftsmanship and its parts. Scissors that have been abused, destroyed or damaged by your scissors sharpener so make sure they know what they are doing . Scissors that have been poorly maintained, misused and or over-worn will not be covered by this warranty. It is extremely important to care for your scissors and maintain them accordingly to the outlines in the scissor care guide in order to receive our warranty service. Any defects or missing parts caused by user's abuse or carelessness can/will be repaired or replaced at the user's cost. Please contact your local distributor where you bought your scissors or contact Yamamoto scissors directly. Our highend scissors is made to last a lifetime - really! if you maintain your Yamamoto scissors correct and only have them serviced by Yamamoto scissors, they will easily last 25 + years. warrants this shear to be free from defects in material or workmanship for the life of the shear (excluding damage and normal wear).


For the first 15 days of your purchase you may return the merchandise for a full money back refund  16 to 30 days from the date of purchase for a refund less a $35.00 return fee, excluding any shipping charges. Returns are not accepted after 30 days. If you are returning a shear for refund/exchange. If your item(s) was purchased using our third party partner, KLARNA, please contact KLARNA directly for more information on any refund/service fees they may deduct (844-KLARNA1).

Repair Service

Scissor repair service by YStech.YStech is the service department of Yamamoto scissors where we handle all repairs and afterservice of scissors. This is not just a sharpening. Your scissor will go through our system from A to Z and will go through 75-100 steps in re-production. They will be completely re-made, - repaired, sharpened, complete polished, bow set and corrected like a new scissor in our factory. We also tend to change the entire screw system as it is worn out on many scissors.

Important Information for Returns:


  • Returns must be made within the time limit specified in our Return Policy.
  • Returned products must be in new condition and have all original manufacturers packaging, materials and accessories.
  • We do not accept customer returns after 30 days of purchase.
  • Items purchased at trade shows/events are unable to be returned for refund (all sales are final).
  • Items that qualify for free shipping that are being returned will have our standard shipping charges deducted from the refund or credit. The return shipping cost (the cost to send an item back to us) is not refundable.
  • Please allow 7-10 business days after we receive the package for your refund to be processed. An email confirmation will be sent to you once the return is processed..
  • This is non-negotiable and Yamamoto scissors reserves the right to make the final call.


For the first 7 days of your purchase you may return the merchandise for a full money back refund The product(s) must be clean and all items (including any promotional items, the item’s case, etc.) must be returned. Everything returned must be in flawless condition if a refund is expected.

If any product(s) is being returned, an email must be sent to us prior to returning it so we can reply back with return instructions along with a return authorization number if need be.

Please ensure that the authorized return instructions have been read and followed before sending your parcel. All return parcels not correctly marked as per the authorized return instructions will be refused upon arrival.

All orders MUST be shipped back within 15 days from the date of purchase in order for us to issue a refund or exchange. This means that we must be able to determine the date that the return parcel was sent using the parcel’s tracking information. Please ensure that the product(s) is packaged well to avoid damage during shipping. If the product is found loose in the parcel and is damaged due to poor packing, no refunds or exchanges will be permitted.
